End­an­ge­red Species

End­an­ge­red Spe­ci­es is a gesamt­kunst­werk that intert­wi­nes the effects of cli­ma­te chan­ge and decli­ning bio­di­ver­si­ty on the envi­ron­ment and human exis­tence, with the deve­lo­p­ments, phi­lo­so- phies, spi­ri­tua­li­ties, of the queer/trans black/person of color throug­hout human civilization.

 

By refe­ren­cing and lin­king the signi­fi­can­ce of the bio­di­ver­se in natu­re to the signi­fi­can­ce of the bio- diver­se in huma­ni­ty, and by refe­ren­cing pro­xi­mi­ty to extinc­tion, it beco­mes expli­cit how inte­gral que­er and trans peo­p­le of color are to the sur­vi­val and evo­lu­ti­on of our dis­cour­se, envi­ron­ment, empa­thy and world.

 

 

Through move­ment, mul­ti­me­dia, ori­gi­nal music, spo­ken word and other tra­di­tio­nal non-wes­tern art forms and prac­ti­ce, House of Living Colors will take you on a jour­ney of cul­tu­ral and sci­en­ti­fic importance that is poli­ti­cal and distinct­ly QTBIPOC.

 

Foun­ded in 2018 by GodXXX Noir­phi­les, House of Living Colors (HOLC) is an open drag and per­for­mance coll­ec­ti­ve par­ti­cu­lar­ly for que­er and trans black and peo­p­le of color (QTB­POC) to explo­re the inter­sec­tion of gen­der and per­for­mance. The house was crea­ted after seve­ral mem­bers in the house expe­ri­en­ced poor tre­at­ment or exclu­si­on from venues or orga­niza­ti­ons within the main­stream que­er com­mu­ni­ty in Ber­lin. The coll­ec­ti­ve is made up of peo­p­le from various back­grounds the­r­e­fo­re the coll­ec­ti­ve situa­tes its­elf in an inter­sec­tion­al ideo­lo­gy and practice.

 

End­an­ge­red Spe­ci­es ist ein Gesamt­kunst­werk, das die Aus­wir­kun­gen des Kli­ma­wan­dels und des Rück­gangs der bio­lo­gi­schen Viel­falt auf die Umwelt und die mensch­li­che Exis­tenz mit den Ent­wick­lun­gen, Phi­lo­so­phien und Spi­ri­tua­li­tä­ten von Que­er/­Trans-Schwar­zen/­Per­son of Color im Lau­fe der mensch­li­chen Zivi­li­sa­ti­on verknüpft.

 

Indem wir die Bedeu­tung der bio­lo­gi­schen Viel­falt in der Natur mit der Bedeu­tung der bio­lo­gi­schen Viel­falt in der Mensch­heit in Ver­bin­dung brin­gen und auf die Nähe zum Aus­ster­ben ver­wei­sen, wird deut­lich, wie wich­tig que­e­re und trans Peo­p­le of Color für das Über­le­ben und die Ent­wick­lung unse­res Dis­kur­ses, unse­rer Umwelt, unse­rer Empa­thie und unse­rer Welt sind.

 

 

Durch Bewe­gung, Mul­ti­me­dia, ori­gi­na­le Musik, gespro­che­nes Wort und ande­re tra­di­tio­nel­le nicht-west­li­che Kunst­for­men und Prak­ti­ken wird House of Living Colors Euch auf eine Rei­se von kul­tu­rel­ler und wis­sen­schaft­li­cher Bedeu­tung mit­neh­men, die poli­tisch und ein­deu­tig QTBI­POC ist.

 

Das 2018 von GodXXX Noir­phi­les gegrün­de­te House of Living Colors (HOLC) ist ein offe­nes Drag- und Per­for­mance-Kol­lek­tiv, das sich ins­be­son­de­re an que­e­re und trans Schwar­ze und Peo­p­le of Color (QTB­POC) wen­det, um die Über­schnei­dung von Gen­der und Per­for­mance zu erfor­schen. Das Haus wur­de gegrün­det, nach­dem meh­re­re Mit­glie­der des Hau­ses schlech­te Behand­lung oder Aus­gren­zung durch Ver­an­stal­tungs­or­te oder Orga­ni­sa­tio­nen inner­halb der Main­stream-Que­er-Com­mu­ni­ty in Ber­lin erfah­ren hat­ten. Das Kol­lek­tiv setzt sich aus Men­schen mit unter­schied­li­chen Hin­ter­grün­den zusam­men und ver­or­tet sich selbst in einer inter­sek­tio­na­len Ideo­lo­gie und Praxis.
