Antisemitism is back—and it never truly left since the Nazi era.

On campus, on social media, in the streets—since October 7, 2023, antisemitic codes have been openly visible everywhere once again. A group of young students from Cologne and North Rhine-Westphalia—both Jewish and non-Jewish—feels at the mercy of its omnipresence. They decide to confront questions that touch the core of their identities and sometimes hurt deeply: Where and when did I first experience antisemitism? How did I react? How did my own family live through National Socialism and the war, and was it ever talked about? Did I ask enough questions? How do I respond to my fellow students? And: Can we still prevent old patterns of hatred from erupting once again in Europe?
